6 Must-Have Beauty Products For Black Friday

Black Friday is a tough day to navigate in terms of beauty and makeup. You want to look good, but you also want to be able to eat an excessive amount of leftovers and run around shopping from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (give or take). Luckily, thanks to elastic, the popularity of oversized sweaters, and the trendy comeback of sweatpants, the fashion part of Thanksgiving and Black Friday has become a little easier to deal with. But the beauty side of things is not so easy. Lipstick is a problem because all-day eating doesn't exactly translate into a flawless, lasting lip color. Also, it's late November, so in most places, it's cold. That means chapped lips and dry skin. And all day talking, eating, and shopping? Well, that doesn't exactly ever do wonders for your complexion.

So how do you make sure you're staying beautiful all day long while keeping things low maintenance? Well, one option is simply going all out with your makeup and just avoiding the greasy, heavy leftovers. For me, at least, the latter is simply not an option. This is a national shopping holiday and large amounts of second-day mashed potatoes that we're talking about. Given that, the solution I've come to for looking and feeling my best is to keep a couple easy, small beauty products in my purse as I run around the mall. Here are my six must-have beauty products for surviving Black Friday.

1. Facial Mist or Face Wipes

I don't know about you guys, but about half-way through the day, I'm already starting to feel like a frazzled mess. Often when eating heavy foods, your skin can start to feel or look a little less than refreshed, and that can carry over to the day after Thanksgiving. The solution? Gentle, light face wipes or mist. Whatever you prefer, they're the perfect way to refresh your face and feel instantly renewed.

2. A Great Lip Balm

Colored or otherwise, lip balm is an instant solution to dry your lips, which may be chapped from talking endlessly with relatives about what you're doing with your life incessantly and/or the cold weather. Opt for a lightly colored balm to add some brightness and warmth to your face.

3. Concealer

For some reason, I never think to bring concealer with me if I'm going out for the day, especially if I'm blemish-free that morning (not likely, if you've gorged on pumpkin pie the night before). But something about all-day events always seems to make a pimple or two pop up for me, so having some concealer on hand is an easy way not t make sure a big old pimple or pesky dark circles invade your face during turkey day.

4. All-In-One Blush

A blush that also works as a lip color (and will save you room by not having to pack the lip balm) is such a perfect way to add a little contour or warmth to your face and freshen up your look.

5. Oil Blotting Wipes

Like number one, oil blotting wipes are a great way to keep your face looking refreshed, clean and bright.

6. Mints and Water

OK, so this isn't exactly a beauty product, but having mints on hand and drinking as much water as possible is a good way to make sure you're flushing out your body as much as possible. Use a mint after a meal to freshen up your breath so the flavors of the meal don't linger. It sounds simple, but really makes a big difference to have the two on hand.
