James Cameron Makes "Bitchin'" Movies

by Maitri Suhas

James Cameron is a hugely successful innovator and household name. Or, if you were to ask him, "I'm the King of the World, and I'm boss as hell." Don't believe that James Cameron could talk like this? The man went to the very bottom of the goddamn ocean, and he's just as ballin' a moviemaker! He could use whatever kind of language he wants. In an interview with Empire about the three new Avatar films he's working on right now (yes, three) Cameron said "I can tell you one thing about them. They’re gonna be bitchin’. You will sh*t yourself with your mouth wide open."

If ever there was a better promise from one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, I can't think of one.

So, how would Cameron review his other famous films? If he thinks that the forthcoming Avatar films are gonna make you defecate while your mouth's agape, certainly he knows the economy of language and how to review his own work using words that are concise, surprising, and very descriptive. He could write copy!

Looking back on his illustrious career of making movies that aesthetically crush your mind-grapes, there are many that could be described as "bitchin." Here's how I think James Cameron would describe his best films.
