How To Celebrate with the Griswolds This Year

Are you ready for the seasonal movie that will surely give you the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny freaking Kaye? No, I'm not talking about the classic (and my favorite movie of all time) holiday musical White Christmas. I am, however, talking about a little known movie starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo. Forget going to Wally World, Europe, and Vegas, because National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is the one comedy that cannot be missed this holiday season. From Clark Griswold acting like a complete idiot with a lot of jolly spirit to Cousin Eddie sporting that famous black dickie to that pesky squirrel to a young Johnny Galecki and Juliette Lewis playing Rusty and Audrey, respectively, the Griswolds are a beloved family tradition bringing joy and laughter to homes all across the nation.

Those lucky enough to own the movie can watch it year-round (it's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year), but for those looking forward to watching it on the small screen (or on your computer) this holiday season, I've compiled a list of channels, dates, and times for your viewing pleasure. Feeling blessed? So are Uncle Lewis and Aunt Bethany.

First and foremost, we can all tune into ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas, because this is one channel not shy of showcasing Cousin Eddie in that white bathrobe and black dickie wishing us all the merriest of Christmases. Such a kind gentleman, isn't he?

Not once, but nine times can we watch the crazy family members pile inside the Griswold household. Here's the complete ABC Family schedule:

Monday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET

Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. ET

Saturday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. ET

Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. ET

Friday, Dec. 19 at 10 p.m. ET

Saturday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. ET

Thursday, Dec. 25 at 5 p.m. ET

Anyone else excited to hang some lights, get out the decorations, and spend some quality family time? So is Clark!

But, of course, be careful of squirrels, because you never know where they might be hiding. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like any crazy squirrels terrorzing the Griswolds will be streaming on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. However, don't forget you can be "old-fashioned" and rent it on DVD. Who doesn't want to embrace tradition and experience the good old days just like Clark?

Lastly, it's been known that AMC, TBS, Comedy Central, and CMT have all shown Christmas Vacation from time to time. Nothing is officially scheduled, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled, just like Clark does when he inspects his tree for that "funny, squeaky sound."
