It's Brian Williams, Slow Jamming the News

by Alyse Whitney

What's the best way to celebrate your 10-year anniversary at NBC Nightly News? Brian Williams slow-jammed the news with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, and it was an interesting mix of sexual innuendos and oddly sweet moments. This installment of Fallon's recurring singing sketch was about immigration policy, and Williams kicked it off by very seriously reporting about the president's recent speech. Fallon responded in a low, sultry voice, talk-singing, "President Obama's taking a hard stance on immigration. He wants to let everyone inside, but you gotta do it the right way. You can't go in through the back door." And it only gets more dirty from there.

After "Breezy Weezy" (the best nickname Fallon's come up with for Williams) talked about bills, the late-night host said smoothly, "Obama's been waiting for Congress to make the first move so he could whip out his John Hancock and sign a bill. So far, they've done nothing, so he's just been sitting around the White House with his BIC in his hand." Yep. They said that.

The best part comes when "Baby Got Back" (or "Anaconda") came into the mix: "My Pres Obama don't want none until you pass bills, hon," Williams rapped, and surprisingly, that is when the slow jam got sweet. After the duo argued playfully about how long they've been at NBC, Fallon called Williams "Peter Pan senior." The news anchor's reaction? "In two days time, my daughter gets to fly, and we couldn't be prouder of her." Aww! Check out the full slow-jammed news below.
