Sia Should Win at the Grammys, Even If It Means Beating Out Taylor Swift

It's about damn time that Sia was nominated for a Grammy Award. Although she's been in the industry for almost two decades, she has never scored a nod on her own — either she was featured on a track (like 2013's "Wild Ones" with Flo Rida) or co-wrote a nominated song (like Rihanna's "Diamonds"). This year, that finally changes, as she's up for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video, and Record of the Year for her hit song "Chandelier." With the Album of the Year announcement still coming up, she still has time to snag one more nomination, and she deserves to win all of her categories.

Sia shouldn't just win because "Chandelier" is so great. It's also about 1000 Forms of Fear, her sixth album, being incredible as a whole, and her history as a fantastic songwriter. She is responsible for many huge hits from Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and even Celine Dion, but she wasn't the one accepting the award onstage. Hopefully 2015 will be the year for that to change, even if it means beating out Taylor Swift for two awards. If you weren't a huge Sia fan already, you will be after you see all the reasons why she should win a Grammy.

This is the clear reason why she should take home Grammys, for both the song and the amazing video. This is a track you can listen to on repeat for days and still not get sick of.

Sia has no shortage of amazing music, and this song off of 1000 Forms of Fear isn't a single, but it deserves to be heard. Every song on this album is absolutely fantastic.

She's Incredible (And Adorable) Live

Sia may not show her face while performing these days, but as seen in this live performance of "Soon We'll Be Found" in 2010, she's talented and super cute Imagine her speech!

She's Also Nominated For This Beyoncé Song

Oh, you know, "Pretty Hurts"? She wrote it. She offered it to Katy Perry and Rihanna first, but they never got back to her, so off it went to Bey. This song isn't nominated individually, but Beyoncé's self-titled album is up for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

And She's Up For This Katy Perry Tune, Too

Perry's album Prism is up for Best Pop Solo Album, and Sia penned "Double Rainbow" for the singer. Sia could be taking home many, many Grammys this year, even if some of them are just in spirit.
