Tony the Tiger Would Be Proud of Gwen's New 'Do

Orange hair is having something of an unexpected moment. I'm not talking about natural gingers, but celebs who are going the super pumpkin-y route, like Raven Symone and, now, one of our favorite pop singers of all time. That's right — Gwen Stefani has added an orange stripe to her platinum blonde hair. Naturally, it looks killer.

The singer debuted her new look at L.A.'s Jingle Ball on Friday night, where she performed with Pharrell. Stefani dip-dyed a section of her signature blonde hair with bold orange and black (think Tony the Tiger only ultra hip), pinning the rest of her un-dyed hair up into a top-knot for what Refinery29 thinks is a kind of half-shaved vibe. She was photographed with the same hairstyle while out shopping with her kids, Kingston and Zuma, later in the weekend, so it looks like the orange is here to stay, at least for the time being.

There's no way in hell I could ever pull this off, especially given that I have curly hair and am terrified to go near my locks with chemicals. However, I recommend tiger striped strands if you have the guts. Allow Gwen to provide the all inspiration you need to take the plunge. Wing-tipped liner and bold red lips strongly suggested.
