'Fargo' Season 2 Sounds Better Than Ever

Season 1 of FX's Fargo miniseries was already a work of art, so season 2 has major shoes to fill from the get-go — so, it's definitely a good sign that its cast list is one that will definitely be up for the job. According to Deadline, Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jean Smart, and Nick Offerman have all joined the cast of Fargo season 2, and will star alongside the already confirmed Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons in the upcoming episodes.

Since Fargo is a miniseries and not really a continuity show, the story will be pretty different to that of the first set of episodes: Season 2 will be set in Sioux Falls, SD and Luverne, MD during 1979, and follow Wilson's character — State Police Officer Lou Solverson, who served in the Navy and is just back from Vietnam — as he takes on a new case. It is worth noting that though the case is new, the character of Lou Solverson has made an appearance in the series before: During Fargo season 1, this was the character portrayed by Keith Carradine.

As for the rest of the cast, many details about season 2 are being kept under wraps, so it's not completely clear who everyone's playing — however, Fargo and FX often have a great reputation for delivering fabulous drama, so I'm sure whatever it is will be must-see TV. Plus, Nick Offerman is involved, and I think his role as Ron Swanson has proven that he truly can do no wrong.

Season 2 of Fargo is expected to premiere in the Fall.
