This 'Bachelorette' Is Now Officially Married
Let it never be said that a reality TV show can't help you find true love. I mean, sure, it's already been examined and proven that most of the couples from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette break up after the cameras stop rolling — if they even wait that long — but sometimes love does last. If you're feeling particularly discouraged after the news that Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and fiancé Josh Murray ended their engagement, then this might just cheer you up. As it turns out, Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried have gotten married — and the ceremony was even cuter than their engagement photo was. My heart, you guys. My heart.
According to E! Online, the private ceremony lasted for about 15 minutes in Palos Verdes, California on Sunday afternoon. Hartsock was in a one-shouldered lace dress with her hair parted to one side which was clipped back to allow the other side to fall in a wavy waterfall past her shoulder. Even more adorable is an anonymous eyewitness' account of the proceedings: "They were so excited to get married. They didn't want to wait another day. When Chris first saw Des walking down the aisle he was amazed at how beautiful she was. The ceremony was very emotional and sweet. They kept it very short and they walked out holding hands and kissing."
If Hartsock's Instagram is any indication, then the love could be felt by everyone in the room — and not because that message appeared to be written on some kind of program or gift that she posted a picture of on Sunday. The new Mrs. Siegfried now goes down as one of the few reality TV show couples to not only make it past the filming time of The Bachelorette, but to actually get married to the man she considers to be the love of her life. It's a truly heartwarming thing to see, and does wonders to bolster the reputation of the show. I mean, at this point everyone more or less watches The Bachelorette for the entertainment value, rather than because they actually expect the couples to be together forever.
So with Andi and Josh parting ways, it's great for fans to see Desiree and Chris go the distance. Now let's keep our fingers crossed that they share a thousand pictures from the admittedly short ceremony, because I'd like to see Hartsock's dress for myself, thank you very much.
