Here's What Taylor Wears To Grocery Shop

by Jamie Cuccinelli

Well, this is certainly a new look for our favorite crop top enthusiast! Last weekend, Taylor Swift shopped at Whole Foods and presumably tied her horse to a post outside, as she grabbed the reins on the tired-and-true equestrian trend.

Perhaps Swift is getting sick of all of her Grammys and is now going for best in show. On a quick grocery shopping trip before her casual dinner party with supermodels Karlie Kloss and Martha Hunt (umm hello, why wasn't I invited?), Swift looked like she was coming straight from the races in a lipstick red peacoat by Rachel Zoe, a tan pair of jodhpur pants (trousers designed specifically for horseback riding), and tall, dark brown riding boots. After topping the look off with a black riding helmet — errr, velvet hat — Taylor's all saddled up for a ride through the NYC streets.

OK so maybe Swift took this whole horseback riding trend just a bit too far, but equestrian-inspired pieces can be an elegant wardrobe addition that add structure and can streamline your entire outfit. Throw them all on at once? That's just horseplay. But add some riding boots here and a blazer there can make any outfit an instant preppy classic.
