When it comes to awards season, there are a select few celebrities I always anticipate spotting on the red carpet (and by "on the red carpet" I mean on my TV). One of those special ladies is definitely Keira Knightley. The British beauty is a bit of a wild card in terms of her style choices. She continuously opts for high fashion pieces, giving us straight-off-the-runway looks, and always keeping us guessing on what she will step out in next. Oftentimes, her bold choices totally work, other times not so much. But what I truly admire is that she is not afraid of taking risks — a concept that is not very common in Hollywood.
This year, Knightley has an added challenge thrown into the mix: Her growing baby bump. Although you can barely even tell she is pregnant (seriously from the back you would never know), a major body change such as this one definitely makes choosing a gown more difficult. Not surprisingly, she continues to rise to the challenge, nailing every red carpet of awards season thus far (although granted, not everyone loved her Chanel butterfly dress at the Globes). She continues her winning streak at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, donning deep purple threads by Erdem. The empire silhouette is perfect for elegantly silhouetting that baby bump without making it look like she's trying too hard. The look, complete with a rocking jeweled ear cuff, violet eyeshadow, and a half up-do with subtle loose pieces, looks oh so effortless and chic. She totally emulates an ethereal goddess and I wouldn't expect anything less.
