What is On Lena's Sweater?

by Sienna Fantozzi

Winter is dull, so bringing some whimsy to your clothes is always a great way to get over that post-Christmas, pre-spring slump. Graphic sweaters, the non-festive answer to the ugly Christmas sweater, have become extremely popular as of late, no doubt thanks in part to Taylor Swift's animal printed sweaters, and it looks like we aren't the only ones who take inspiration from the singer. Swiftie's BFF, Lena Dunham, wore a graphic sweater at Sundance, but, um, I'm not exactly sure what is gracing the front of it.

Dunham attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on Sunday, wearing a white, turtleneck chunky sweater with some kind of...creature on it. It could be a gremlin, but then it's got these elf-ish ears, so maybe a hobbit? But those talons, and I think I see wings — is it a hippogriff? Or like, gollum with some red lipstick and a fro? I can't really figure out what this hybrid, mythical animal is, but I do know it is bizarre. And I love it.

It may not be the chicest sweater (and certainly not the most conventional), but you gotta give Lena points for quirkiness and always being herself. Oh wait, is it maybe a Wizard of Oz flying monkey that got sunburned?

Okay, seriously, I give up.
