What If Disney Princesses Had Real Hair?

I grew up loving Disney and Disney princesses. That's not too odd for a little girl these days, but one thing I was sure of — even back then — was that all those animated princesses didn't really remind me of myself. I mean, sure, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty had blonde hair like me but, well, that was kind of where the similarities ended for the most part. Of course, these aren't real girls so there are some realistic qualities that can't just magically appear, but on the other hand, there are some things that could have made the characters seem more realistic. For example: Ariel is a mermaid, right? So why does her hair never really look wet? And Pocahontas is literally always singing about the wind, but the gusts never seem to affect her perfect 'do? Exactly. It's confusing. Luckily, artist Loryn Brantz imagined the Disney princesses with realistic hair so you don't have to.

You'll have to see the full set of images for yourself to really gauge just how awesome they are, but Belle and Mulan are among the princesses featured. The new, realistic hair pictures themselves have only very, very small changes from the original illustrations — but it makes all the difference, really. Somehow, the original images, which once seemed perfectly normal and mostly realistic, seem utterly ridiculous next to Brantz's new versions. Because, really, how did Pocahontas' hair stay out of her face, guys?
