This 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' Trailer Is On Fleek

There's a lot happening in the world of sports right now, and while I might not fully understand why everyone is making such a big deal over some deflated balls, I can appreciate a hilarious advertisement that takes advantage of the situation. Like this one: Hot Tub Time Machine 2 has released a hilarious Super Bowl-themed promo that simultaneously pokes fun at the scandal surrounding NFL's "DeflateGate" controversy, and promotes the upcoming film sequel. Not only is the trailer unexpected, but it proves that Hot Tub Time Machine 2's advertising game is completely on point. On fleek, if you will.

It seems that the advertisement is a normal promo pulled together from the already-existing footage from the movie — but with an added voiceover making it timely for the Super Bowl. There's a Patriot (because, time machine and the New England Patriots, duh), and there's a moment where Adam Scott's nether regions inflate for some ungodly reason. The voiceover warns viewers, "This big game weekend, Hot Tub Time Machine 2 reminds you that if you’re going to take on the Patriots, make sure their balls are fully inflated." Ha. Cheeky, right?

ICYMI/do not care about football, there have been some accusations that the New England Patriots deflated game footballs, which might have led them to win the AFC Championship game. As for what will come of that, I do not know — but I can only hope it comes with more hilarious movie trailers that know how to play on news like this.
