She Looks GORGEOUS At The BAFTAs

This dress is pretty much the opposite of what one should wear while hiking the PCT, but it sure is purdy. On the 2015 BAFTA Awards red carpet, Reese Witherspoon wore an eggplant-colored gown that made her look like every bit of the goddess she is. Part of me was hoping that she'd incorporate the hiking boots from Wild into her look, but not doing that is fine too.

Witherspoon, who is nominated for a Best Actress BAFTA for Wild, arrived at the London award ceremony on Sunday wearing the crap out of a Stella McCartney mermaid-style dress. The frock sported a short train that thankfully doesn't look hazardous to walk in, which is always an important thing. I'm guessing that the plunging neckline necessitated a crazy amount of double-sided tape, but the effect is well worth it. Witherspoon looks classic and GORGEOUS. This shade of purple really suits her coloring, and I love that she kept her makeup simple and natural.

Furthermore, I think that going minimal on jewelry was the day to go. It looks like she's just wearing a simple diamond bracelet, and opted to leave her chest bare. The addition of a necklace definitely would've been too much in my book. Well played, Reese.
