Jamie Dornan's Wife Isn't Seeing 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' & She's Not The First Celeb Spouse To Avoid Watching Sex Scenes

Unlike the rest of the world who just can't wait for the film's Valentine's Day release, Jamie Dornan's wife Amelia Warner is not excited to see Fifty Shades of Grey . Dornan confessed to USA Today, "She doesn’t want to watch this. She wants to support me and my work. I won’t be able to sit there myself. I am not going to put any pressure on her either way. It’s her decision. She’s well aware that it’s pretend, but it’s probably not that comfortable to watch."

I don't blame Warner for feeling that way. It must be tough to be in a relationship with an actor who has to film sex scenes. Dornan's wife is not the only celeb spouse who has felt this way. One famous actor's wife referred to love scenes as "legal cheating." On the other end of the spectrum, some partners view nudity as no big deal.

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum is not into Jenna Dewan’s sex scenes, and has admitted that it’s tough to watch: ”I mean, she’s a very sexy individual which is obviously why I’m with her. There are many reasons — but that is definitely very high on the list. She watches when I do love scenes too, and we’ve had to kind of find our way with it. She’ll cover my eyes and I’ll cover hers.” It’s nice that they are supporting each other through the mutual awkwardness.

Nick Jonas & Olivia Culpo

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Nick Jonas revealed that he and Olivia Culpo discuss sex scenes before he films to make sure she is comfortable with the situation. Jonas said, “Naturally, it makes her uncomfortable. When you really care about somebody and they have to do something like that for their job, it’s uncomfortable. But she’s understanding and she’s pursuing a job in acting as well, so I’m sure there will be a situation in time where I’ll have to be on the other side of that.”

Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck

There was a lot of buzz around Ben Affleck’s nudity in Gone Girl. When Ellen DeGeneres asked Jennifer Garner if the couple discussed his scenes, Garner said, “It wasn’t a discussion, it was like, ‘Hey, at work today [David] Fincher talked me into coming out of the shower.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, cool, well, I hope he had on a wide lens.’” Zing!

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith

Apparently, Jada Pinkett-Smith is not bothered by Will Smith’s sex scenes. In fact, she puts pressure on her husband to make the scenes as hot as possible. Smith recalled his wife’s reaction to his sex scene with Margo Robbie. Her advice? “Boy don’t embarrass me. Get in shape now. Do not let that girl smash you onscreen.” Well that’s definitely a unique take on the situation.

Mark Wahlberg & Rhea Durham

When talking about his character in 2 Guns, Mark Wahlberg said, ”He’s constantly trying to be a ladies’ man but he never scores … And my wife prefers it that way. I prefer to stay away from scenes with me and naked women — it doesn’t go down too well.” Can’t say I blame Rhea Durham for being uncomfortable with that.

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer

I think it’s so weird that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer worked together on True Bloodher character was getting it on with almost every male lead. To make it stranger, Moyer has directed some of his wife’s sex scenes. He recalled the normalcy of the situation: “There are moments where I’ll be watching on a monitor [and say], ‘Oh, Joe, just move your hand up towards Anna’s breast. Good. And can you move your right thumb just a little bit…? Great.’ And then I’ll go, ‘Babe, babe, enjoy it.’ I’m certainly talking to her as ‘babe.’ ‘Darling, go for it.’” That seems way too cool for me, but good for them making it work.

Scott & Marika Foley

Scott Foley told Ellen DeGeneres a funny story about watching one of his Scandal scenes with his wife Marika: “We actually had a viewing party of the first episode that I was in, and Kerry and I had to make out. And we had a viewing party and my wife was there. After the love scene, it was sort of quiet because no one knew how Marika was gonna act. And she broke the silence and said, ‘Why don’t you bring some of that home?!’” Well it’s nice to see that she has a sense of humor about this strange situation.

Pierce Brosnan & Keeley Shaye Smith

Pierce Brosnan’s wife Keeley Shaye Smith had a blunt perspective on his love scenes. Brosnan revealed that she described them as “legal cheating.” Well, I guess she’s not wrong about that — technically speaking.

Boris Kodjoe & Nicole Ari Parker

Boris Kodjoe revealed that his wife is not totally comfortable with love scenes unless there are some boundaries in place: “We have certain rules. There’s the ‘No Tongue’ rule, and then there’s the ‘No Nipple In The Mouth’ rule.” That sounds reasonable to me.

Billy Bob Thornton & Angelina Jolie

Yes, I know that Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie are very much over as a couple, but he spoke out on Jolie’s reaction to sex scenes back in the day: “[Halle Berry] is one of the most beautiful women in the world and I am talking on the phone to my wife, (Angelina) and she says: ‘What have you been doing today?’ And I say: ‘Oh, I did that sex scene with Halle Berry.’ You are then asked if you actually touched her. I say: ‘I had to — it’s in the scene.’”
