Rag & Bone Channels '00s Layered Camisole Trend

by May Sofi

New York Fashion Week is officially in full swing, and so far we have seen a pretty mundane combination of dark shades, simple fabrics, and familiar silhouettes. What we have yet to see is that It collection that stands out as being different, unique, and possessing that something special — until Rag & Bone, that is. The American fashion label, known for creating ultra modern, badass designs tapped into the millennium nostalgia with their latest knockout collection. Rag & Bone channeled the long-sleeve layered camisole look at NYFW — and it totally brought me back to my tween days.

The Fall '15 show featured models donning silk, lace-trimmed camis on top of long-sleeved crewneck tees in an array of bright colors. If that doesn't scream 2002 I don't know what does. The masterminds at R&G didn't stop there, they threw in a whole slew of '00s inspired accessories such as fanny packs, zippers, satchels, and shiny fabric galore — oh my! So if you've stored away your old lace-trimmed satin tanks in hopes of one day breaking them out again, you're in luck.

This edgy update on the old-school trend feels fresh, new and totally wearable for today. Which look would you wear?
