New Look at 'Monuments Men'

Oh hello there, all of my boyfriends. Sony has just released the second trailer for The Monuments Men , George Clooney's movie that stars all of your make-believe lovers. With Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, and Hugh Bonneville, the cast is stacked. The icing on the cake? Cate Blanchett's in it, too. The movie, which is about a World War II platoon of art historians out to save the world's monumental creative works before everyone bombs it to shit, comes out Dec. 18.

When the first trailer for the movie was released, we took one look at the less than two-minute clip and declared it an Oscar contender. And now, with this second trailer, we stand by that assertion. Sony thinks it has boundless potential, as well: Everyone knows the movies that come out in late December are the Academy's favorites.

The Monuments Men, which is based on a true story, was written and co-directed by George Clooney but in this trailer, we can't take our eyes off Matt Damon. That voice! That smile! It's like watching Will Hunting only you know, older, and in a WWII uniform.
