It's Time To Reminisce About K. Fed & B. Spears

by Caitlyn Callegari

As I'm sure we've all come to know in some way or another, not all divorces end well. Sometimes people just aren't able to channel their inner Mrs. Doubtfire and the parties involved simply can't find a place of amicability or at the very least, civility. It's just the way the cookie crumbles. But, for Kevin Federline and Britney Spears, that is absolutely not the case. According to Federline himself, he and Spears are totally cool exes, regardless of their divorce. And to be totally honest, it's a little bit surprising and yet very refreshing to hear.

Federline told Access Hollywood , "We have two beautiful children. The way that everything has turned out, everybody is happy. Co-parenting is going great and I can't complain."

That is so very zen of you, K. Fed. And he seems to know that there really isn't a reason not to be at ease about this situation. He was also quoted as saying of his former relationship with Brit Brit, "That time, it's like a whirlwind. You're thrown into this limelight and everything kind of happened. It was a good time in my life." I mean, yeah. Coming from obscurity, basking in fame for a bit, being the First Dude of Pop, that definitely had to have its advantages.

And yeah, "whirlwind" is probably the most apt way to describe the few years that Federline and Spears were romantically involved. If you aren't convinced of the brouhaha, the old pictures of the couple below will provide numerous reasons why "whirlwind" is right.

They showed up to an event with low ponytails, a tiny chihuahua, and a bucket hat deceivingly disguising itself as a fedoras. Oh my!

They were "that couple" and wore matching tanks

...And tans

But, they were happy and, OK, sort of impulsive

And If you can mind the cheese, the garter pic really just says it all

Really, they were just a couple of crazy twenty-somethings who seemed to have sorted it all out while making some very questionable early 2000's fashion choices. It's fine now, though. The kids are alright.
