Gordon Took Cal On 'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' But What Is The Eyeless Inhuman's Endgame?
The eyeless Inhuman on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting quite the reputation for side-along apparating people out of trouble. First, he rescued Raina from her suicide attempt, and on Tuesday he prevented Skye's Dad from committing mass homicide! That's right, Gordon captured Calvin Zabo on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and took him to the Inhuman hideout. The room was trashed when Cal woke up. Are we ever going to see his superpowers? I hope that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. bosses know that the longer they hold off and only show us the aftermath, the more spectacular we are going to expect his abilities to be. Regardless, what is Gordon up to? Is he just collecting gifteds, or "others" as Simmons coldly re-dubbed these individuals? There seems to be a higher purpose.
Cal and Gordon also seemed to know one another. That is to be expected, especially considering how close Skye's mom, Jiaying, was to Gordon when he was growing up post-transformation. The two of them probably have a very interesting history.
When he woke up, Calvin chided Gordon for not taking Daisy/Skye with him as well. To be honest, I was kind of on his side. Gordon and the Inhumans know how to deal with these powers and seem to really cherish them. That's definitely the safest place for Skye at this time. However, Gordon was not concerned. He also called Calvin a "science experiment" instead of "one of us" and took him to see some authority figure that would judge his fate. The doctor begrudgingly grabbed his blazer and followed.
First of all, that was way harsh, Gordon. Second of all, what does Gordon mean by science experiment? Is Cal not an Inhuman? Not to split hairs, but are Inhumans not technically Kree science experiments? It seems like Cal may have given himself his powers, or had them inflicted on him by some other organization. Finally, please tell me that Jiaying is in that facility somewhere.
Gordon is an interesting addition to S.H.I.E.L.D. because he's not clearly good or bad just yet. Knowing this show, he may never choose a side.
