'Silicon Valley' Season 2 Trailer Brings The Funny

While you might be saying goodbye to HBO's Girls in tonight's season finale, you'll be saying hello to the boys of its comedy series Silicon Valley in April. The show's second season premieres on April 12, but HBO just dropped a new Silicon Valley Season 2 trailer that gives us a little taste of what's to come for this hilarious gang of genius programmers. It looks like the rivalry between start-up Piped Piper and corporate-funded Nucleus is reaching a fever pitch after a tense Season 1 finale showdown at TechCrunch's Disrupt. Richard (played by Thomas Middleditch) and the Piped Piper gang bested Nucleus then, but can they keep it up in Season 2 of the Mike Judge comedy?

The trailer, set to the song "Who Got the Power" by Robert Charles Edwin Bagshaw, reveals that Pied Piper will need to look into serious investors, brand awareness, and "synergy, bitches," in order to try to beat Hooli's Nucleus and Gavin Belson, who has declared war on the burgeoning program/company. And of course, hilarity will certainly ensue. Middleditch, along with co-stars T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross and Jimmy O. Yang return for the second season. Judge recently revealed that about two new women cast members can be expected in Season 2, because Silicon Valley and the real Silicon Valley isn't just filled with men (although the real-life industry is about 80 percent men).

According to the trailer, viewers can also expect fast cars, destroyed cars, blackouts, an awkward gathering on a baseball field, awkward office moments, and a very longwinded version of the phrase "bros before hos." Hey, these guys will have to try everything in order to keep Nucleus at bay.

Silicon Valley's Season 2 premiere is sandwiched in-between two other big Spring ones on HBO — Game of Thrones and Veep. Get ready for the big night by checking out the new trailer below.
