Amanda Seyfried's Edgy Braided Updo Is Amazing

Amanda Seyfried has proven to be one to watch on the red carpet. The accomplished actress (and former Mean Girl) always slays the style game with chic, feminine looks that translate into ethereal silhouettes, long flowy locks, and very minimal makeup. This time, however, the blonde bombshell has departed from her usual pretty girl style, instead opting for a new, more edgy direction. Amanda Seyfried rocked a cool braided up-do to the premiere of her latest movie While We're Young, showing us the perfect way to upgrade your plain ole' pigtails.

Personally, I haven't dabbled much into braids, but this interwoven 'do is one that even I am tempted to try. The midline-parted, milkmaid-inspired look included bulky french braids that were tucked in underneath on each side, forming the most stunning, cool-girl updo ever. She paired the ensemble with a prim, long-sleeved, bow necked red dress and the combination was absolutely divine. Seriously, I am OBSESSED and I must recreate this look ASAP. Want to know the best part? It is actually totally doable at home. All you need is some bobby pins and some french-braiding skills (or you can just make your sister do it for you, which is the approach I plan to take). But really, how gorgeous is this?
