If you follow Kristen Stewart, then you know the former Twilight star is not new to Chanel. Just earlier this month, she posed for the iconic brand and showed off the classic 11.12 bag along with model Alice Dellal and actress Vanessa Pardis. And now, her face can be seen again on billboards, because Kristen Stewartis the new face of Chanel's Spring 2015 eyewear collection.
In the ad, which was done by Karl Lagerfeld, Kristen sports a messy 'do and looks through what seems like a vintage double lens 8mm camera. Stewart sports a pair of classic aviators, looking like a mysterious vixen. The black and white campaign also features photos of Stewart in black frame glasses, in a chic cat-eye style, and another in oversized black sunnies. She's definitely bringing the drama.
Stewart and Lagerfeld's relationship dates back to 2007, when they met when she was just 17 years old, according to the Hollywood Life. Kristen was then snagged for one of Chanel's fashion campaigns, and became the face of the Métiers d/art Paris-Dallas 2013/14 collection. And it seems like Lagerfeld just can't get enough.
It appears the two have an ongoing bond, something Stewart attributes to their identical ideas on aesthetics. She told French Magazine Madame Figaro "That's why I love and I respect Karl Lagerfeld. This is not an ideologue of fashion, but a sensitive visionary...We get along very well."
This duo has never disappointed, and we can't wait to see what Karl and Kristen have in store for us. And, if you happen to have an extra bag of cash lying around, I'll take one of each piece of eyewear from the collection.
