While some Directioners are busy casting Zayn Malik's fiancée into the role of Yoko Ono, I'm too distracted by Perrie Edwards' amazing outfits to worry about whether or not she had anything to do with Malik's split from the band. Edwards' style is feminine and she incorporates some classic elements into her looks, which are easy to recreate with a trip to the mall. She's naturally lovely, too, so it's no wonder she captured Zayn's heart.
There have been some rumors of a split surrounding "those photos" of Malik with a blonde that wasn't Edwards. However, Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik recently vacationed in the South of France, proving that they are still a couple, looking happy, healthy, and extremely well dressed (naturally).
If you aren't totally familiar with Edwards (aside from her relationship with Malik), let me give you a brief intro before we delve into her style. She is part of a super popular UK girl group, though Little Mix have yet to break internationally, enjoying some but not massive success in the U.S.
Even though the four-piece group is a vocal ensemble that sounds like En Vogue meets Destiny's Child served up with a side of The Spice Girls, each member of the band has her unique take on loud, sexy, and slightly '90s-inspired style. IMO, Perrie has the most contemporary and relatable style of the four, which is what makes her wardrobe so easy to duplicate on your own.
Even when they're all in black and white, you can feel the individual style senses coming out.
There are lots of amazing looks in Edwards' repertoire, but these are my 10 faves I'm dying to DIY.
1. White Hair, Don't Care
Edwards broke onto the scene with pastel purple hair, but now she usually rocks a golden blonde 'do. Personally, I'm most obsessed with this white-pink look that nails two trends at once.
2. Baby Blues And Braids
Doesn't Edwards look like Madonna here? I love the baby blues and the braid.
3. It Wasn't Just About the Ring
Edwards and Malik announced their engagement at the premiere of the 1D film in 2013, and while the talk about her rock dominated, her black, Patricia Bonaldi dress with the leaf-like bodice was a total winner.
4. Stage Gear
Perrie's stage outfits are always cute and wearable, like this sheer top and leather bottom.
5. Boho Chic
The basics of Edwards' vacation outfit were Topshop. That Chanel belt, though.
6. Beachy Waves
Those have to be the most perfectly sunkissed and beach-made waves ever.
7. Bordeaux Lips
Edwards often rocks bold lips. This wine-stained, bordeaux pucker totally pops against her baby blues.
8. The "Ariana"
When left to her own devices, Edwards does a good job with her hair! She rocked the half-up, half-down Ariana Grande style flawlessly.
9. Island Style
Edwards perfected vacation-wear with her off-the-shoulder top and long skirt.
10. Back In Black
Her all-black ensemble showed a little midriff and she looked sexy but still like a total pro.
