Yet Another Reason To Be Obsessed With Boohoo

It's time for fast-fashion fiends (aka everyone) to start crying tears of joy. UK-based e-tailer Boohoo is coming for America… with a vengeance. While it's been available to shop with USD for a while now, the brand is officially turning a much more aggressive focus on the U.S. market moving forward.

If you love Forever 21 or Nasty Girl or ASOS or H&M, well, you are going to crush hard on the fast fashion of Boohoo, if you are not already familiar with the company. Those more well-known brands are pretty much like Boohoo's sisters. But Boohoo actually sees itself as much more specific than the comparisons seem on the surface.

In terms of pricing, "Forever 21 is our closest competitor," Natalie McGrath, the VP of marketing in North America, told WWD.

So the clothes are affordable. But when it comes to "fashion focus and availability," McGrath said Boohoo is "a little bit closer to a Nasty Gal."

Ah, so she is pretty much saying that the clothes are cheap, in terms of cost, but the intimation here is that the quality is higher and that the clothes are not as readily available as a trip to the mall, where Forever 21 is largely anchored.

McGrath noted that Boohoo is often compared to ASOS, Topshop, and H&M, all beloved fast fashion brands, as well.

The brand hadn't been very interested in the U.S. prior, despite the hugeness of the market, since things were going so well on the homestead. Now, Boohoo now has America squarely in its sights, and that is a good thing for anyone looking for yet another shopping option.

Here are the three main reasons that you need to start bookmarking and shopping Boohoo, if it's not on your list already.

1. Under $100

According to WWD, everything on the Boohoo site is less than $100. Everything. That’s good news for your wallet. Plus, you can rock trends without committing too much money to a piece that might be out of style in two seasons.

2. Celeb Endorsers

Boohoo's campaign for North American consumers begins later this month with stylistas like Bella Thorne, Hannah Bronfman, Angel Haze, and Chloe Norgaard on board as celeb supporters. Each of the aforementioned ladies has her own unique style, so it's clear that Boohoo is trying to reach all sorts of young women.

3. Options

In order to get a strong footing in the U.S., the brand is now offering express and next-day shipping, in addition to the standard option. Score!
