Nina Dobrev Is Leaving 'Vampire Diaries' & Breaking Fan Hearts, But We'll Always Love Her For These 10 Stunning Looks
The Vampire Diaries diehards might go on a hunger strike or just clench their fists while gnashing their teeth. That's because series star Nina Dobrev is leaving The Vampire Diaries and moving on. We'll miss seeing the brunette beauty as Elena on the small screen, but the news of her exit has reminded me of what a sleeper style star she is. Dobrev cruises a bit under the radar with her status as a fashion plate, but she shouldn't! She has so many red carpet and style wins under her belt.
Dobrev shared the news of her career change via Instagram, penning a thoughtful note to her fans. But just because she is leaving the show doesn't mean we're seeing the last of her. As if!
The actress is talented and gorgeous and she could easily transition to a massive film career. She could also front another series. The girl has so many options. She's sittin' pretty in more ways than one.
And hey, at least things might be less awkward on set, since her ex and co-star Ian Somerhalder has moved on quickly with Nikki Reed, who starred in Twilight, another vamp franchise. By all accounts, Dobrev and Somerhalder remain friendly, but still...
Below is her buh-bye note, which is full of enthusiasm.
In honor of Nina Dobrev's time on the hit series, and in anticipation of what lies ahead, these are the actress' 10 best, most memorable looks. She likes color and columns, that's for sure.
Dobrev's black and white print maxi hugged every inch of her figure.
2. All Tied Up
The actress' take on menswear was crazy sexy since she paired the fitted shirt and skinny tie with a flirty leather trumpet skirt in an amazing, bright color.
3. Lady In Red
Dobrev does not shy away from color, like this crimson, fishtail gown. Her olive skin was complimented by the shade.
4. Pink Lady
This column-like yet simple salmon pink dress found Dobrev mostly covered up, but it was insanely feminine.
5. Orange You Glad?
Dobrev likes to show off her toned shoulders in strapless gowns, like this orange offering. She seriously isn't afraid of color or column shapes, as they are her go-tos.
6. Lacy Lady
This bone-colored lace dress was ladylike, but not old lady-like. Dobrev showed us her stems, which were the centerpiece of this look, since her arms were wrapped in fabric. I was confused by the no pedi look, though.
This off-the-shoulder, peek-a-boo LBD was a simply sexy sheath that could have ended in a wardrobe malfunction.
Edward Cullen sparkled. So did Nina Dobrev in this form-fitting black frock that hit at the calf. It was unique in terms of fabric and length and is likely my favorite of the lot!
9. Chic And Short
This sophistocated blue and white print ensemble with hot pink heels was easily one of her most fashion-forward looks. Who wears short shorts?
This dusty blue frock with the peephole bodice was more glamsual than anything, but it was undeniably pretty. Who wouldn't want to wear this to work?!
See what I mean about Miss Dobrev having tons of red carpet wins? She rarely disappoints, but she doesn't make "Best Dressed" lists as often as I think she should. She's not really mentioned in that many "It Girl" convos, either, since she's not crazy edgy.
But she does know what works for her body and she's inherently sexy at almost every turn.
Someone get this girl a huge fashion endorsement! Or some more mag covers!
