Edward Norton Throws a Mean Punch

by Tanya Ghahremani

Saturday Night Live promos are often little indicators of how good a certain week's show is going to be, so this is definitely a good sign: NBC just released some promos for Saturday's episode with Edward Norton as host, and they're actually kind of funny.

There are a few promos in the video, which runs for about two minutes total. They each feature Norton with cast member Bobby Moynihan, doing everything from speaking fluent Japanese — which Norton is able to do extremely well as he actually worked in Osaka, Japan after college — to recreating a pretty key scene from Norton's 1999 hit, Fight Club. There are a few jokes that fall flat (backwards hair? C'mon, guys, you're better than this), but overall, not bad!

This is surprisingly Norton's first time hosting SNL — despite starring in big films like Fight Club and The Incredible Hulk, he's only ever appeared on the show in cameos before: Once in 1999, and once in 2003.

Norton will be on the show this week to promote Wes Anderson's new film The Grand Budapest Hotel, which is set to be released next year. You can check out the promos below.
