Andy Dwyer Would Be So Proud Of Chris Pratt

by Caitlyn Callegari

Some human beings are born unto this Earth and they add significantly to the good of humanity. Basically, these special people are so completely wonderful that they make up for the lesser, reprehensible ones — and then still have something extra left over to give us. Actor Chris Pratt is unmistakably one of those angel-like people. Case in point: During an interview with MTV, Jurassic World star Chris Pratt added lyrics to Jurassic Park 's theme song — and then proceeded to sing it, pretty hilariously. Because, obviously, when he isn't visiting children's hospitals and giving his time to sick kids in need, he's doing silly things in the name of a good laugh.

The thing is, with Pratt, we're never laughing at him — we're always laughing with him. Which is why the actor is a whole lot like his Parks and Recreation character, lovable goof Andy Dwyer.

But maybe Pratt has proven he's most like Andy musically, because Pratt's version of the Jurassic Park theme song is all kinds of ridiculous. From what I can gather, the lyrics go a little something like this: "It's Jurassic Park, it's Jurassic Park, and the dinosaurs will flip out! And eat someone and eat someone!" (And, if you aren't impressed by him as a lyricist, at least he looked pretty damn good singing it.)

Sure, it doesn't make for a Grammy-winning performance, but that's because it's basically a rugged, on-the-spot type of Andy Dwyer song. Check out the video below and see if you can tell the difference between Pratt's music and that of his sort of musically adept Parks and Rec alter ego. Or, view it to confirm that this was probably just one of Andy's Parks and Rec jams that ended up on the cutting room floor.

Here's one of Andy's impromptu specials in Parks and Recreation, for reference:

Genius.

And that time he disguised a song about April by calling it "November":

Who else misses this show way too much?
