Shailene Woodley's All Scraped Up

by Alanna Bennett

People getting injured should be taken seriously. So seriously. So very seriously. Safety, etc! But also, when you're making an action movie and getting into the thick of it, some stuff is bound to happen, so why not just have fun with it? At least, that's how Divergent 's Shailene Woodley thinks of all the scars she racked up on set.

"I have a scar on my chest [and] a scar on my hip, but all good battle wounds," Woodley told E! Online at Elle's Women in Hollywood gala. "It's so much fun! And they'll go away in like five years. The cool thing is I got to do some stunts and that never happens. I feel so cool about it."

In other words: Woodley got all scraped up in the name of entertainment — "I got to do some crazy stuff," she said. "I got really hurt." but don't go throwing together Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark comparisons quite yet. Because really, she seems quite happy about it.

Actually, Woodley's glee and seeming utter willingness to commit to the roughness is probably a pretty good indicator that she's got the badass quotient down for playing the lead in a dystopian action movie. Maybe she isn't a delicate elf after all.
