Celine Dion & Destiny's Child’s 2002 Joint Performance Is A Must-See & Here’s Solid Proof — VIDEOS
Back in 2002, Céline Dion taped a concert special at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. The legendary diva treated the audience to indisputable jams like "A New Day Has Come", "My Heart Will Go On", and "Because You Loved Me". Oh, but the fun doesn't stop there! In the middle of the set, Dion welcomed Beyoncé Knowles, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland onstage. The quartet performed Destiny’s Child’s cover of BeeGee’s classic “Emotions” and Dion's song "When The Wrong One Loves You Right". And for a few glorious minutes, Destiny's Child was a foursome once again.
Unsurprisingly, everyone sounds and looks beautiful, but it's Céline’s reactions, facial expressions, and general onstage antics that steal the show. Her reactions practically demand to be turned into GIFs. Scratch that, they must be turned into GIFs. And turn them into GIFs is what I did. What can I say? I cannot resist the song of the GIF. If I were Odysseus, my journey would not be derailed by beautiful singing women, but by short animated clips.
Here are some very necessary Céline Dion + Destiny's Child GIFs:
When you look at your bank account and your balance is better than you expected
When you're the only one on the dance floor at a wedding and you stare at your friends until they FINALLY finish their entrees and join you
When your coworker tells you your hair is "very Rihanna today"
When you're feeling very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When you burn your hand on a Hot Pocket but try to hide your pain because your brother warned you it needed to cool and you don't want him to gloat
When you're really annoyed with the man blocking the cereal aisle with his shopping cart but you want to play it cool when you ask him to move
When your friend says Catfish just isn't the same without the Max/Nev dynamic and you can't wait to nod in agreement
When your friend whispers to you she just passed gas
When you're on an airplane and the person sitting next to the window in your row takes it upon himself to point out every landmark you fly over
When you stand next to Beyoncé and she belts out a big note
Happens to the best of us.
