See Ariana Grande's Well-Done Neck Tattoo

by Amy Sciarretto

Attention — new celebrity tattoo alert! Ariana Grande got a new neck tattoo but relax. It's not huge nor is it easily or obviously visible. Instead, it's a teeny, tiny, and easy-to-cover with hair or makeup crescent moon that lives under her ear and is super cute.

Grande's lunar tattoo is small, classic, and chic. Those aren't the vocab words usually associated with neck ink, even if you are Rihanna, who has a few neck-area pieces. But Grande did a neck tattoo the right way (yes, there is a wrong way) for several reasons. Put simply, neck tattoos are usually tough to pull off, especially since the neck shows age quickly and a neck piece can be extremely hard to hide without things like long hair.

Neck tats also exude a certain sort of badassery, and while we lurve Ariana Grande, she's a sweetie, not a brawler babe. But Grande's new neck tattoo is tucked near her hairline and that's the perfect body real estate for someone who is extremely ladylike with her style and her image, diva rumors be damned, and it's not like she went for the throat, literally, with her ink.

And since Arianators can't imagine her with short hair or ditching her half-up, half-down, signature pony, this tattoo is like her little secret that only those who get close to her, like her BF, rapper Big Sean, can see.

Another cool style move? Pairing the neck tattoo with that ice! A diamond earring is an added dose of class and grace. She has such a swan-like neck, too.

So, yes, Ariana Grande's neck tattoo is amazing for those key reasons. I love that it's tucked away. You have to be looking for it to find it and that adds an element of sexy mystery.

Grande actually has a tattoo on the back of her neck already. That is a fairly common region for women to get tattooed. You can see that neck ink below.

It's another simple, ladylike piece that is hidden with hair. There is nothing wrong with keeping your tattoos private. They don't have to be art-on-display for everyone to see; it's fine if only your loved ones get a peek.

Rihanna likes neck area ink. She has a sprinkling of stars, tumbling down the back of her neck.

She also has tattoo in the collarbone region, too.

Both ladies know how to rock the tricky look with style and grace.
