Carvel Free Cone Day Is Coming!

I think it's safe to say that Nutella is a unifying force of chocolate and hazelnut magic, bringing the world together one extremely heaping spoonful at a time. Carvel, "America's freshest ice cream," definitely agrees with me — because not only have they amped up their Nutella ice cream menu this year, but even better, it's Carvel Free Cone Day on April 30. And hey, guess what? You don't have to stick to plain ol' vanilla for your free frozen treat; Nutella junior cones are one of the three options you've got. Everybody wins!

If you've never had Carvel's Nutella soft serve, which first debuted last summer, believe you me, guys — it's a work of art. It's your 4th grade fantasy of being an adult and eating ice cream for breakfast come to fruition. Everyone from Refinery29 to New York Magazine has been jumping on the Carvel bandwagon recently, so I honestly don't even know what you're waiting for. This year, Nutella soft serve is back in stores (along with a whole bunch of other chocolate and hazelnut flavored options) from March 16 to May 31 — as in, you have 41 days to consume as much of it as possible before it's potentially gone forever and you're forced to return to your humdrum lives where Nutella and ice cream are separate things.

The great news, though, is that on Thursday, April 30th from 3PM to 8PM, Carvel is celebrating Free Cone Day by giving away free junior cones or cups in your choice of chocolate, vanilla, and Nutella ice creams at all participating locations. You can pick any of those flavors, but like... Nutella is an option... so I don't know why you would pick something else. Just saying.

If you're panicking because you don't know where the closest Carvel is, check out their location finder (they call their stores "Shoppes" — ugh, it's so freaking cute, right?) and mark your calendars. Or set a phone alarm or something. This is important. Don't miss it!
