The crossovers just keep coming on The CW. This Tuesday, Joe and Cisco go to Starling City to on The Flash . There, they will meet both Captain Quentin and Laurel Lance. This is great. They're two of the only Arrow characters who haven't participated in the show swap yet. Even Diggle took a trip to Central City! However, I'll willing to bet that this adventure won't be quite as fun as last week's "All Star Team-Up" that featured Ray, Felicity, Team Flash and the world's most awkward romantic dinner for five. This time around is sure to be a bit more serious. Sure, Cisco Ramon is always good for a few laughs, but both detectives Joe West and Quentin Lance are grounded. It's their job to work within the system to fight crime, so it'll be interesting to see how these factions relate to one another. Have they worked together in the past? The world of The Flash and Arrow gets smaller by the week, so I would not be surprised by anything.
As Joe and Cisco delve into Harrison Wells' history and the circumstances leading up to his fiancée's death on "Who Is Harrison Wells," what else can we expect?
New Toys
For starters, according to the official description for the episode, Laurel has a favor to ask of Cisco. What could it be? I think it's pretty safe to guess that the Black Canary is looking for a weapon. She's new to the whole vigilante thing, and Cisco could help her distinguish herself from her sister with the right piece of tech. Maybe her nightstick could use a few enhancements?
Law & Order
Like, a lot of it. Joe West is specifically investigating the car crash that took Tess Morgan's life. According to this promo, he finds a body that he believes to be the "real" Harrison Wells. You know, the one that was a spunky scientist and got his face eaten by a time traveling Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. So I expect a lot of the episode to be a pretty strict police procedural as all of these non-vigilantes go through the evidence and come to new conclusions about what happened the night of Wells' accident.
Love Connection
As we saw in the WonderCon promo for this half of the season, Cisco confesses his feelings about one second after Laurel tells him that she's the Black Canary. Granted, he probably thinks he's talking about Sara Lance, but we don't want to take that away from him. If Laurel does in fact want him to design weapons for her, this will help her pitch. Let's not forget that the last people who wanted to make use of Cisco Ramon's engineering and branding talents held him hostage and threatened his brother's life.
It's also interesting to think about the people in Central City just following the events of Arrow on the news and vice versa, isn't it? Do you think Felicity and Caitlin exchange encrypted email updates of what really went down? I certainly hope so, and I can't wait to see this side of Arrow meet The Flash.
