Jennifer Tests Her Hair Products On Friends
Jennifer Aniston has been a hair care goddess since the mid-90s debut of Friends, and as it turns out, she wouldn't have gotten to where she is without the help of her pals. According to People Style Watch, Jennifer Aniston tests hair products on her friends, because that's what best friends are for, apparently.
Aniston confessed her quirky hair care strategy to People, saying she enlists the help of friends like Courteney Cox and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber to try out new products from her Living Proof haircare line with other best friend, Chris McMillan.
"They allow me to sort of use their hair, they’re like Barbie dolls,” she dished. “Courteney has gorgeous hair, and Mandy’s is really curly so she loves the No Frizz line. Plus, everything smells incredible, that’s my other thing that I love about these products. For me that’s always a big thing, that it isn’t too fragrant-y or perfume-y. It’s so fresh and so light, so incredible.”
Living Proof includes a wide range of products, like Blow Out styling and finishing spray and The Night Cap Perfector. She trusts the scientists who develop the products, she says, and does some testing of her own.
“Chris and I usually get samples like six months before so we get to try it out and see how it lasts over time and then give feedback for it,” Aniston said. “It’s so much fun; it really is a wonderful thing to be a part of.”
She also suggested what we all know to be universally true: skip shampoo. “That’s the tip I took from Chris,” Aniston said of not washing her hair. “I was never able to do that because of all the silicones and oils in other products. I wasn’t able to go two or three days like I can now. And that really saves the healthier hair.”
Aniston also suggests that you're never too old to rock a ponytail, but if it looks really good, it's probably thanks to McMillan. "There’s no ponytail that doesn’t move, every ponytail should move,” she said “I just put it up and go. If it looks right, that’s Chris.”
I always wanted to be best friends with Jennifer, but knowing that her best friends get free samples? My adoration has leveled up. You're the best, Jenn.
