First Look At 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

Miss the early aughts but still want to live in a world in which Jennifer Lawrence is a headlining star? Well, you're in luck, because the X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer is here! Starring every actor from the movie franchise launched in 2000 — Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, etc. — as well as every actor from the 2011 prequel, X-Men: First Class — Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and more — the film's teaser promises a nostalgic, star-studded trip back into the future.

But X-Men: Days of Future Past's journey seems like one far more dire than Marty McFly's time-traveling pastimes. In a voiceover, Stewart's Professor Xavier and Magneto agree to head back to improve the present, "I had a glimpse into the past. You're going to have to do for me what I once did for you ... You'll need me as well. Side-by-side to end this war. Before it ever begins."

This year might have delivered superhero overload — what with Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Thor: The Dark World, and Kick-Ass 2 all hitting theaters — but perhaps come May 23, you'll be ready to satiate your superhero appetite once again. After all, X-Men: Days of Future Past seems to promise A-list excitement... outside of an Avengers universe, for once.
