Gigi Hadid's Accessory Game Is On Point

Leave it to Gigi Hadid to totally reinvent how a necklace is worn. At Coachella, Gigi Hadid styled a necklace as a belt. Yup, for real. The Model of the Year sure knows how to work her accessories. After seeing this, all I could think was, “Why haven’t I thought of this before?” I mean, really. It’s sheer genius. Hadid has opened my eyes to a whole new way of wearing necklaces, and I can’t wait to try it out. Here I was, naively thinking they could only go around your neck.

This look is great one because it’s super easy to replicate, and two, it’s very on-trend with its hippie-esque ‘70s vibe. You do have to be careful what type of necklace you choose for this because, most likely, not all necklaces you wear around your neck will also fit around your waist — chokers much?

Usually, though, layered necklaces work well for fitting around the hip area, and they add just the right amount of embellishment, whether you choose to style it as a necklace or a belly chain.
