Lob jobs are the cutest, least invasive type of "job" in Hollywood. Why? Because girls with short hair rule. This was proven yet again when Christina Aguilera cut her hair into a long bob.
The singer and Voice coach debuted her new look last week at a red carpet event in Hollywood for the TV show. In case you aren't familiar with the lingo, a lob is a longer bob that falls somewhere between the chin and collarbone, and now is the hottest time to have one. Celebs are shedding long locks for this new look. But like anything Christina touches, even this style is getting an upgrade, thanks to her.
The stylist responsible for the cut — Giannandrea, Macadamia Professional International Creative Director — said the new trim was intended to be shaggy and textured, with lots of volume, according to PEOPLE.
The duo calls it "the shab.” "This is a modern progression of the bob," Giannandrea said, according to PEOPLE. "It’s razor cut and has deep layering; that gives it versatility. The cut lends itself well to a rocker style or beach texture which is perfect for the summer days ahead."
We couldn't agree more. We haven't seen this short 'do on Christina in years, and we cant wait to see if the shab becomes the next short thing.
