J.Lo's Bringing Back the Scrunchie

by Jamie Cuccinelli

We've been experiencing something of an '80's/'90's fashion revival these past few months. The latest old school accessory to hop make it's way to 2015 is the scrunchie, as seen on Jennifer Lopez. The legendary singer made an appearance on American Idol sporting the look and let me tell you, the scrunchie hasn't looked so good (or shall I say "so very") since Heathers premiered in 1989.

From the New York Fashion Week runways, to celebs rocking the denim-on-denim look, to the resurrection of Hard Candy nail polish, the beauty and fashion trends of yesteryear are making a comeback in a big way. Just ask Lopez, who was working some serious '80's hair on the reality show Wednesday night. In an Emanuel Ungaro crop top and matching pants and some black embellished Jimmy Choos, the Idol judge looked effortlessly cool, as per usual. But her voluminous ponytail, accented by a totally '80's scrunchie, is what would really make Cher Horowitz stop and stare.

"We are bringing the scrunchie back!" J.Lo's hair stylist, Lorenzo Martin, told InStyle about Lopez's texturized pony. Think you want to help J.Lo with her Scrunchie: Mission 2015?
