The Secret To Salma Hayek's Amazing Skin Is...

by Jessica Willingham

Apparently, Salma Hayek lives in some time-continum vortex where she never ages and will live young and beautiful forever. While the average human doesn't have the cash flow for that kind of technology, there is something we can do. In her latest interview with Elle, Salma Hayek revealed her skincare secret and how we can get our hands on it.

"I use an ingredient called Tepezcohuite that's used in Mexico for burn victims because it completely regenerates the skin, and there's no one in the States who is using this ingredient except for us," she said in Elle magazine of her skincare line, Nuance, according to E!.

While Hayek, 48, is her product's greatest advertisement, it was really her grandma who taught her about skincare. "When we were growing up, people would burn the seed of this fruit called Mamey," Hayek said, according to E!."It doesn't exist here, and with the oil, you put it in your lashes to make them grow longer. We use it also on the hair."

Hayek also confessed her feelings (and experiences) around plastic surgery, and it's totally refreshing to hear from a gorgeous celebrity as famous as she is. "I have no Botox, no peels, no fillings. I'm 48. I will be 49 this year and I only use my creams." Such a genetically-blessed woman! Still, I am so impressed, considering her career field and the industry. Hollywood is not always nice to post-teenage actresses. But Hayek is truly a beauty icon, and we can all hope to age as gracefully as she has.
