Adam Levine Got Sugar-Bombed — PHOTOS

by Melissah Yang

Poor Adam Levine. The Maroon 5's frontman certainly croons about "sugar, yes please," but he probably didn't think someone would seriously take him up on that offer. Well, someone did, and Levine was sugar-bombed outside Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday. It also could have been flour or some other powdery white substance, but given the band's hit song, sugar would be almost too fitting.

Levine was greeting fans on his way into the Jimmy Kimmel studio in Hollywood when out of nowhere, someone threw sugar all over The Voice coach. According to TMZ, the sugar bomber was quickly detained by security until police came and arrested him for battery. The suspect's name hasn't been released, but Hollywood police told Entertainment Tonight he was a repeat offender with five victims pressing charges. ET reported the same man threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week. This guy's definitely got a way with puns, and at least Levine's in good company?

While it isn't completely clear whether the sugar attack was planned or a prank, Levine didn't look too thrilled in photos snapped by fans. In fact, he looked downright in the grumps about the whole thing, a totally understandable reaction because the guy just ruined a perfectly good knit sweater.

As horrible as it must have been to be sugar-bombed in public — I was a flour victim at my high school graduation so I know how it feels — his expression is pretty priceless. You almost can't help but laugh at all the different angles that caught the moment he was sugar-bombed. I, for one, can't wait to see all the memes that come out of this whole ordeal.

Funny enough, now Levine and Kim Kardashian have something special in common. Back in 2012, the KUWTK star was floured at her perfume launch event. She quickly changed and came back out to the red carpet, where she laughed off the incident to E! Online.

That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that's happened to me. Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there.

Hey Adam, take some advice from Kim. Things happen and sometimes you just have to make something sweet out of a sticky situation.
