On Tuesday, after the devastating Amtrak 188 crash in Philadelphia that claimed the lives of eight passengers and injured over 200 people, at least 100 of those passengers came through New York City's Penn Station. The Red Cross has set up stations in both New York and Philadelphia to assist survivors and their families.

Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 188 was traveling from Washington, DC to New York Tuesday night when it derailed just outside of Philadelphia. The National Transportation Safety Board said Wednesday in a statement that the train was traveling more than 100 k.m. per hour when it crashed.
