According to Refinery29, Kendall Jenner wore a dress over pants, but the outfit was actually a take on a traditional South and Central Asian form of dress. It's called a salwar kameez, and it's been around for centuries. The all-white wonder (designed by The Row) was a nice change from her normal crop top and miniskirt ensembles, though it came complete with chatter of cultural appropriation (something, unfortunately, that the Kardashian family runs into often).

Many look up to Kendall and the Kardashian/Jenner clan for style inspiration. Some white jeans, white sneakers, and a long, flowing tank could have looked just as stunning, without sparking debate on Twitter about whether or not the ensemble is offensive. Then again, maybe that's a conversation we need to be having on a daily basis.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this article did not recognize that Jenner was wearing a salwar kameez, a traditional South and Central Asian form of dress. We regret this omission.
