Jamie Dornan's beard has been pretty epic lately, but that hasn't alway been the case for the man who became Christian Grey on the big screen version of Fifty Shades of Grey. Jamie Dornan's beard has sparked heated debates and it has inarguably evolved, from a few chin pubes that aspired to be a beard to a cleaner and more manscaped look to full-on mountain man ruggedness.
Still, even though his beard has varying degrees of hairiness, those brooding eyes get me every. Single. Time. Won't you join me in charting the evolution of J. Dornan's beard in 14 photos across nine years?
Baby Face
I need a magnifying glass to detect any legit facial hair on Dornan here. Back in 2006, it was peach fuzz and nothing more.
Coming In Nice
In early 2009, Dornan’s ‘stache is more prominent, as are the chin straps. Those eyes, though.
Sparse Stubble
This Dornan beard from late 2009 is quite a hybrid that’s hard to describe. It’s not quite a beard, but it’s more than five o’clock shadow. I dig it, I think.
Still Growin'
Fast-forward to May 2014 and Dornan’s beard is only slightly more filled out. It even extends downward, towards his neck.
