Bobbi Kristina's Aunt Gives A New Update
The past month in Bobbi Kristina Brown news has been relatively quiet, which, in my opinion, bodes very well for the state of her family and those close to her. Since Brown was found unconscious and unresponsive in her Georgia home in January, the rumors have run rampant and disputes within the family have taken away the focus from the individual who is suffering the most in this tragic situation, the 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina. The last update we received was that her father, Bobby Brown, and her aunt, Pat Houston, would act as co-guardians for Bobbi in making medical decisions. Recently, her aunt, Leolah Brown, gave an update via her Facebook, but the details unfortunately do not shed any more actual physical evidence of Bobbi's rehabilitation.
In her post, Leolah shares,
We are allowing her to just continue healing in God’s Grace and Mercy. Please continue to be patient with us...You have no idea how much my brother Bobby and Bobbi Kriss are grateful and appreciates your kind words and prayers! In fact, we are all grateful to Almighty God for allowing us to still have Krissi with us! So with that said, let us keep our hearts and minds on Bobbi Kristina’s complete healing! While continuing in our patience. We love and appreciate you all! May God bless you all for your continued prayers and taking out your precious time to send such wonderful comments! May The Peace Of God Be With You.
While it is a beautiful thing to see her family supporting her so much and making sure she receives the best care she can in this grave condition, it is nearly impossible to know the true state and prognosis for Bobbi Kristina. In April, Bobby Brown's lawyer gave Us Weekly a seemingly promising update, saying, "There has been improvement. Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."
This is in contrast with her grandmother, Cissy Houston's, update later in April, in which she said in a statement that after meeting with doctors, she understands that Bobbi Kristina "has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive." We may never know the true nature of her state and what "improvement" means in her condition, but what I find most important here is that members from both of her families have seemingly put aside their differences, at least for now. They have placed their undivided attention on only positive support and news and are calling for fans to do the same, for the sake of Bobbi Kristina who continues to fight for her life.
