It's Draco Malfoy's 35th Birthday

This Friday is a very special day — and not just because it's the day before the weekend begins. It's because Harry Potter character Draco Malfoy turns 35, as author J.K. Rowling revealed on Twitter Friday. After a fan inquired about Malfoy's age, Rowling responded, "Draco turns 35 today. I'm not invited to the party, mainly because I keep telling girls they're misguided to fancy him." How great is that response? Would we expect anything less from Rowling?

Leave it to Rowling to always be brutally honest about her characters — after all, she did create them and knows them better than even her biggest Harry Potter fans. For all you Draco Malfoy lovers who crushed hard on him during the books and movies, well, even as an adult it seems that Rowling doesn't find Draco the best suitor. Yes, he might be a lot older than the teen Draco we all grew up to either love, hate, or feel lukewarm about, but knowing Draco, he is probably still somewhat ill-mannered. Clearly, Rowling agrees and that's why she is not invited to his milestone birthday celebration.

So, now that we all know how Rowling feels, what about Draco himself?

Do you think he's happy about turning 35? Do you think he's scared about turning another year older? Maybe he's reminiscing about the good old days at Hogwarts? There's really no way of knowing for sure, so let's imagine how Draco might react to turning 35.

He Might Be Really Upset

Draco, age is just a number.

He Might Feel Awkward

Especially if he's receiving lots of hugs from family and friends.

He Might Be Scared

I would be scared too, especially if Lucius was my father and at my birthday party.

He Might Be Feeling Really Cool

Duh, it's Draco.

He Might Shed Some Tears

Hurry up, someone give him some tissues — or Dobby's sock.

He Might Be Overjoyed

Hey, you never know, Draco might be thrilled to celebrate his big day.

Happy Birthday, Draco Malfoy!
