Lorde Channels Stevie Nicks For 'Vogue' Australia

by Dana Reszutek

Wow. Just wow. Lorde covers Vogue Australia's music issue this month looking incredibly stunning. I mean really, truly stunning. The young star debuted the cover on Twitter and seemed just as excited as we are to see the the gorgeous shot (hint: dark purple lipstick was NOT involved).

Lorde captioned the image how I imagine most people would if they found out they were on the cover of a fashion magazine, with a not-so-subtle "YOUR GIRL ON THE COVER OF A PRETTY UNDERGROUND PUBLICATION KNOWN AS @vogueaustralia." I agree, Lorde — the all-caps are completely necessary.

Lorde rocked a flower and bird-patterned dress with unique, layered fringe sleeves that made me think the singer was totally channeling '70s-era Stevie Nicks. I mean, who else can pull off giant sleeves like that? Totally signature Stevie. Paired with rocker-chic rings, stunning brows, and her always-flawless curls, the singer gave us a perfect, natural spring look to obsess over.

Though this isn't the first time she's sported a natural (or even makeup-free) look, and I do adore her purple lipstick, I hope Lorde channels her own cover look and starts sporting softer makeup more often, because I'm just in love. She has such beautiful facial features.

But seriously, does anyone else see the Stevie Nicks inspiration? Because it's totally there.
