The "other" Delevingne sister has changed up her look... for now. Model and socialite (and Cara's big sis) Poppy Delevingne, has white blonde hair. It's Khaleesi-style, like if Daenerys from Game of Thrones was all sorts of mashed up with Orlando Bloom's Legolas from The Lord of the Rings. I know, that's a lot of blonde.
With the bright, bleached color and how it's pulled back in a messy ponytail, Delevingne's 'do certainly made me wonder what her little sister would look like if she white-washed her normally honey-hued locks. Could you imagine Cara D. pairing those bold, bushy, and dark brows with platinum hair? Hey, if her sister can do it, why can't she? At least she would have a similar-looking point of reference, right?
Poppy usually rocks blonde locks that often have an ombre cast or whitish highlights, but this is an extreme version of light hair. Is she auditioning to be Emilia Clarke's stunt double, perhaps? Or just having fun?
I like it but I am not sure it's going to be a long-term look for Delevingne, since the upkeep on such a shade is time-consuming. It does remind us that GoT coif chic and white blonde celeb locks aren't going anywhere, even if they are temportary.
Have a look at a very white blonde Poppy Delevingne below. She is working it, right?
White hair, don't care.
Here's normal Poppy. Very golden, very easy to flip, and very lovely, yes, but not very shocking.
'70s style Poppy. Still golden, with a bit of a white ombre, but not as bold as her total white blonde 'do.
Delevingne has to be taking at least a little inspo from some other bright blonde transformations, which span the spectrum from white hot to super platinum.
Rihanna went with the white hair granny trend for a mag cover last year.
Nicole Richie white-washed her hair at the Met Gala one year and it looked like granny hair (or a stretched out cotton ball).
We can't forget when normally raven-haired Kim Kardashian went platinum blonde for five minutes earlier this year.
Lady Gaga was also Khaleesi-like and white blonde with a grayish tone earlier this year as well.
The white hot hair trend continues to assert itself and remains dominant.
Will Cara be next? Will her big sis inspire her to try something totally out of the ordinary? Here's to hoping...
