'Jurassic World' Inspires Cutest Meme Ever & Introduces An Amazing New Word Into Our Modern Slang — PHOTOS
To the surprise of absolutely no one, Jurassic World smashed box office records this past weekend, proving the Jurassic Park franchise is still captivating imaginations. The movie also just so happened to inspire the cutest meme of all time. No, seriously, I am pretty sure this meme will go down in the history of memes as the most delightful thing to ever happen to social media. Remember that scene in Jurassic World where Chris Pratt becomes the raptor whisperer? Well, real life zookeepers reacted the Jurassic World scene, finding inspiration in the slightly silly, completely geek-out worthy moment. Now social media is bursting with zookeepers, animal handlers and regular folks striking a Pratt pose (known as "prattkeeping") with everything from ostriches to stuffed animals. See? I told you it was the best meme ever.
Some of these intrepid zookeepers are even braver than Pratt. Sure, raptors are feisty, but ostriches are no joke, and neither are rhinos. Since these guys are professionals, I am sure they know what they are doing. Even better than the keepers (I know, it sounds impossible because these folks are both super smart and hilarious) are the reactions, and, in some cases, non-reactions, of the animal kingdom. Just wait until you see the totally non-nonchalant llamas below. I guess they haven't seen the movie yet?
Ostriches are way scarier than raptors. Look at their eyes! They are clearly thinking about pecking.
Twitter user Jason Smyth faced down the mighty chickens of England, and fully committed by donning a Pratt-inspired ensemble.
The walrus on the right looks super into it.
Then came the llamas with the furry cuteness and general disregard for the keeper's attempts to mind meld with them.
Kids, don't try this at home.
Hey guys, opossums are scary. Have you seen their teeth?
Yeah... really don't try this one at home. Those tigers look like they mean business. Someone make sure this zookeeper is still standing.
So. Much. Cute. #Favorite
I hope they got snacks for posing so flawlessly.
I don't think this guy is mind-melding with the rhinos as much as he's bribing them with some sweet, sweet hay.
This seems more accurate somehow.
The Stuffed Animals
Hey, that is definitely cheating.
Let's give a hand to all the "prattkeepers" out there, and pray to the gods of the interwebs this meme never dies.
