Jennifer Lawrence's Hair Evolution, from Long and Blonde to 'Catching Fire' Chopped

Jennifer Lawrence is the girl on fire. She has been ever since she was nominated for her first Academy Award in 2010. But since then, the attention she's garnered from the media has only increased, and all eyes have been on Lawrence's style and ever-evolving tresses. With The Hunger Games: Catching Fire out on November 22nd, we'll once again see Lawrence with Katniss's signature brunette braid, but for her Catching Fire press tour, Lawrence went back to her roots, literally, dying her strands blonde and chopping them into a bangin' but short 'do. From The 83rd Oscars to now, here's Lawrence's hair evolution.

Lil' Lawrence

Aww. She looks so....young! Back in 2008, Jennifer Lawrence's tanned and dewey complexion matched her long, luscious locks.

Ringlets and Rouge

In 2009, J Law looks as thrilled as anything to posing with a real life celebrity, Charlize Theron (who has also since chopped her locks).

Relaxed and Wavy

Jennifer looks bohemian chic while rocking this earth-toned frock and wearing her hair down and flowing in 2010.

Blonde Bombshell

When she appeared at 2010's 83rd Annual Oscars with a nomination to boast, Lawrence looked absolutely stunning with bleached blonde locks and a floor-length, slinky red gown.

Straight-laced

Long layers, side-swept bangs and with the help of a flat iron, Lawrence achieved this casual and easy-going look.

City Slicker

With eccentric eye makeup and an even more eye-catching dress, Lawrence chose to slick back her usually wavy hair for this stylized look.

Short and Playful

Showing off her shorter side, Lawrence appeared with full bangs, a high pony-tail and long side pieces that showed off her playful side.

Dark Side

Welcome to the dark side. For her 2012 film, Silver Linings Playbook, Lawrence went dark brown for her role as the mysterious and headstrong Tiffany.

Gothic Glam

This dark hair and lip color duo transforms Lawrence into practically another person. With sleek styling and an unsmiling impression, we wouldn't want to mess with this powerhouse lady, especially after she admitted to kicking co-star Josh Hutcherson in the face and giving him a concussion.

Lady Like

In her last look before she chopped it all off, Lawrence dons a side-swept and classic look, with medium-length tousled locks hiding some light blonde highlights.

Futuristic Face Framer

Albeit being slightly scared by this look, we also think hard-core J Law is just a great as pretty-in-pink-Oscars-press-tour J Law, especially when she wears the look, complete with black lipstick and a ghost-white face, with confidence.

Short and Sweet

Let's call it the modern day Meg Ryan. This sassy, fun, and flirty bob is everything we wanted to see on the Catching Fire star.
