Gaga's Dog Stars in Latest Coach Campaign

by Dana Reszutek

Celebrities starring in ad campaigns for brands is nothing new, but Coach took this idea to a whole different level. Lady Gaga's dog is Coach's newest model. No, I'm not kidding. On Tuesday, the legendary handbag brand released its first still of Lady Gaga's dog, Miss Asia Kinney, posing with pieces from its latest collection.. That's right. A dog is modeling Coach bags, and I'm all about it.

Coach's new campaign is cleverly entitled "Coach Pups" and will feature a variety of celebrity dogs with photos shot by photographer Steven Miesel. Miss Asia Kinney's image features the pup wearing a shiny pearl collar sporting a purple bag while sitting on the lap of a blonde woman in a sweater. Is this a Gaga lookalike or the real thing?

The singer took to her pup's Instagram (yes, Asia has over 100,000 followers, so a dog is definitely more popular than you on social media) to also share the news of the campaign, and to be honest, the French bulldog does look very chic. Like any proud mom, Lady Gaga also shared the snap on her Twitter, and noted that Asia did not just model for the fame and fortune — Coach donated to the French Bulldog Rescue in Chicago in her honor.

If you're wondering which other #CoachPups will be named, there's definitely another singer who's added her pup to the mix. Two weeks ago, Ariana Grande posted an adorable shot of her dog, Toulouse, with a caption that definitely confirmed her pet's new #modelstatus.

Let's see which other famous animals will be lending their best smize (my vote is Obama's dog Bo) to this campaign.
