Lily James Wore The Perfect Summer Shirtdress

by Sienna Fantozzi

She may not be playing Cinderella anymore, but that doesn't mean she still isn't the belle of the ball. Lily James attended Vogue's Wimbledon party and wore the greatest white summer dress — and it's neither mini, nor sleeveless. Covered up never looked so good.

The Downton Abbey actress was at the Vogue & Ralph Lauren Wimbeldon party on Monday night in London, England ahead of the big tennis competition, and took a pretty genius approach to the often dreary UK summer weather. James wore a long sleeved, white Ralph Lauren shirtdress. The tea length frock had buttons all down the front, though she kept the top few unbuttoned for a more sensual, relaxed look.

The 26-year-old wore her hair in undone waves with a smoky eye, and paired her dress with some pretty killer gold, strappy sandals. Lily somehow managed to look fresh and summery, even while all covered up, and gave some serious style inspiration to those who may not be having the best of summer weather (or who just don't always want to show that much skin).

Though Lily's shirtdress comes with a designer price tag, here are a few options to steal her sophisticated summer shirtdress for less.
